TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

TabTrade - The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the detail that matters. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you deposit.
